FM and PMC form publishing alliance
Future Medicine Ltd are delighted to announce a new partnership between the Personalized Medicine Coalition and the journal Personalized Medicine for 2008. The journal is published bimonthly and addresses scientific, commercial and policy issues in personalized medicine and includes news and views, current awareness regarding new biomarkers, concise commentary and analysis, reports from the conference circuit and full review articles.
In addition to the regular features, the 2008 volume will include news and views from the PMC itself and an article will be selected from each issue to feature on the Coalition’s website.
Edward Abrahams, Executive Director of the PMC noted, “The Coalition is especially pleased to form this partnership with Personalized Medicine, a leading, peer reviewed, international journal, also devoted to understanding the power and place of personalized medicine.” He added: “We are providing another important benefit for PMC members, and adding to the intellectual capital that will drive adoption of this new paradigm.”
Members of the PMC have always been well represented within the editorial team and advisory panel of the journal, and also amongst the contributors.
Full articles published in Personalized Medicine are subject to independent review by a minimum of three independent experts and the journal offers rapid publication, aiming to publish within 8-10 weeks of original submission, with fast track options available.
Elisa Manzotti, Editorial Director at Future Medicine said, “We are delighted to have formalized this partnership to build upon the close working relationship we have always enjoyed with the Personalized Medicine Coalition. This represents a great opportunity to promote the Coalition, the journal, and the concept of personalized medicine itself, to the widest possible audience within the healthcare and health policy communities.”
