Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy
Future Drugs Ltd, part of the Future Science Group (London, UK), have announced today that Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy and Expert Review of Vaccines have been selected for coverage in ISI® services. Information on the contents of both titles will be indexed in ISI Web of Science®, Science Citation Index Expanded™, Index of Scientific Reviews, and Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine.
ISI’s basic mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of, and access to, the world’s most important and influential research journals. ISI states that its editorial team’s mission is to identify and evaluate promising new journals – nearly 2000 new titles are reviewed annually, but only 10-12% of the journals evaluated are selected. Criteria for selection by ISI, ranging from the qualitative, includes: editorial content, the caliber of the editorial board and authors, grant funding, peer review, citation analysis and international diversity.
Launched in June 2001, Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy has been extremely well received by the oncology community, and 2006 sees publication increase from six to twelve issues per year offering readers some 150 full reviews at the cutting edge of cancer therapy.
The Expert Reviews Series provides structured and authoritative analysis in modern healthcare, with every article subject to peer-reviewed by at least three independent experts to ensure the highest standards of quality. Each review provides a complete overview of current thinking in a research area. This is augmented by the author’s own ‘Expert commentary’ on the most promising therapies and strategies. Each author also gives their own perspective on how a particular field will involve in the medium term – the ‘Five year view’. Every review is also complemented by a key issues section, providing an executive summary to ensure that the review is as accessible as possible.
Topical review coverage within each title is driven by the international opinion leaders who constitute the distinguished Editorial Boards of Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy and Expert Review of Vaccines. Every effort is made to minimize the critical path from submission to publication to give industry-leading publication times, with quality control maintained at every step.
Ronald Ellis from ID Biomedical, Vancouver, Canada commented; “Expert Review of Vaccines has been appropriately recognized for ongoing citation by the ISI® Science Citation Index. This journal has quickly become established as an important resource and as a leading journal for review articles in the growing field of vaccines. Its presentation of key reviews assures that its readers stay current with major information and trends across vaccinology for application to their own work, whether in academia, government or industry.”
Antonio Grillo-Lopez from the Neoplastic & Autoimmune Diseases Research Institute in Rancho Santa Fe, California, USA said of Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy; “As a reader, Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy is one journal that I appreciate because it is peer reviewed, high quality, and includes timely topics in a reader friendly format.
