Future Science Group celebrates a decade of Bioanalysis
Future Science Group is delighted to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Bioanalysis – the Journal! Since its launch in 2009, it has evolved steadily, as has the field of bioanalysis, adapting to the needs of the time from both a bioanalytical and publishing perspective, ensuring we publish quality content in timely and accessible formats for the modern bioanalyst.
We are delighted to play a role in converging and presenting global bioanalytical discussions and, to mark the occasion, Bioanalysis has published a fully free-access anniversary issue. It aims to provide a 360° overview of the past, present and future of the field through articles from a wide variety of authors, covering the breadth of the field, from across the globe.
In his note, Neil Spooner, (Senior Editor, Bioanalysis & Spooner Bioanalytical Solutions Ltd) mentions “Its pages [Bioanalysis] have contained a narrative to the changes and developments that have occurred in the science and regulations, which are central to its readers. It is important that the journal maintains its high quality, and scientific and editorial integrity to enable it to build upon its successes into the future.”

Bioanalysis Zone, the sister website of the journal, has also been marking the occasion with a special feature including video interviews with experts in the field and a timeline of the top milestones from the past decade. “The work of both, Bioanalysis and Bioanalysis Zone, stems from a genuine passion to support and collaborate with the bioanalytical community.” stated Naamah Maundrell (Senior Editor, Bioanalysis Zone) in her note in the anniversary issue. She continued, “Fundamentally, we want to see the work of new techniques and methods that can directly help patients and advance the treatment for disease.”

Sankeetha Nadarajah, Managing Commissioning Editor of Bioanalysis, mentioned in the opening foreword from the anniversary issue: “Bioanalysts are continuously adapting to advanced technologies, regulatory requirements and the likes, and Bioanalysis endeavours to capture the details and discussions of this continuously evolving field … this would not be possible without the support and contributions from all our authors, readers, reviewers and editorial board members, and collaborators, with all of whom we would like to celebrate a decade of Bioanalysis – the journal, and the developments of the field.”
Bioanalysis is a MEDLINE-indexed journal covering the latest scientific, technical and regulatory developments relevant to those working on the analysis of xenobiotics and biotics in biological matrices. This is, primarily, bioanalysts working in pharmaceutical research and development, clinical laboratories, clinical toxicologists, forensic toxicologists and sports doping analysts.
