Entries now open for the Capturing Cancer: Oncology Central Photography Competition
Oncology Central has launched the inaugural Capturing Cancer: Oncology Central Photography Competition – an opportunity to share photos that illustrate cutting-edge research and discoveries being made in the field of oncology.
Entries are now open for the inaugural Capturing Cancer: Oncology Central Photography Competition; an opportunity for all cancer researchers and clinicians to share their research using imagery.
Oncology Central welcomes entries that explore oncology from the molecular to the clinical level; from images that can only be observed with the aid of a microscope, to photos demonstrating discoveries in action. For example, entrants might wish to showcase: the biology of cancer through fluorescent labeling, the complex signalling pathways of cancers through microscopy and staining, or day–to-day clinical situations.
The judges are looking for good composition, creativity, scientifically sound and clear photographs.
Two winners will be chosen, one by a judging panel and one by public vote, and both winners will receive:
US $100 Amazon voucher
Feature interview to be published on Oncology Central
Image to be featured as the Oncology Central homepage feature image for 2 weeks
To enter, images should be emailed to the Oncology Central Editor, Jade Parker, at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line ‘Photo Competition’.
Each entrant can submit up to three images. All submissions must include a title and caption (min 25 words, max 150) putting the research into context. Entrants will be required to fill in a copyright form for their images, which will be emailed to them. Further information on how to submit and competition rules can be found here.
