We are currently looking to recruit graduate-level self-starters with a strong work ethic for roles available in our digital editorial department.
Reporting to a Senior Editor or Publisher, this role will see you manage at least one of our specialized online communities, which cover cutting edge topics such as regenerative medicine, real-world evidence, 3D printing in medicine and more
The role will oversee the content of this online resource, including, but not limited to:
- Commissioning or producing, editing and publishing engaging and varied content, including news, articles, conducting interviews, infographics, videos etc
- Liaising with sales, marketing and journal editors to develop the website and audience
- Management of social media channels
- Building relationships and effectively managing the website’s Ambassadors
- Acting as a figurehead for the website and its products
Building and maintaining relevant relationships will be a key performance indicator in order to grow a community of key opinion leaders and members. This position also has the opportunity to support allied projects across FSG, such as working with our Events Director in the development and content creation around in-person events.
On a day-to-day basis, you will work across a range of different editorial and commercially-led projects. You will have responsibility for ensuring the quality and consistency of the website and all related products, as well as acting as a figurehead for the products.
In this role you will develop content management, communication and editorial skills. You will also work closely with your line manager to develop a robust content and outreach strategy.
We are looking for graduates with a strong academic background in life sciences or other relevant subject (2.1 or above).
All applicants must have a keen interest in scientific publishing and the enthusiasm to learn and establish a career in publishing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines, while maintaining high standards, have excellent organization and time-management skills, an eye for detail, and be keen to build their knowledge of digital publishing. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
